I am incredibly excited to finally pull back the curtain and welcome you to the very first developer blog for Fearwoods. After working hard on building the atmosphere, tension, and mechanics in secret, it is time to share our journey with the world.

What is Fearwoods?
Fearwoods is an upcoming 3-player co-op survival horror game where light and silence are your only weapons. Set in a dark, haunting cursed forest, you and your friends must navigate through the fog to uncover the tragic story of Aveline.

Developed by our dedicated indie team and published by GrabTheGames, the game requires you to search for GPS fragments, solve Wolf Pit puzzles, and piece together Aveline’s journal. But you are not alone in the trees. A relentless demon is stalking you, feeding on your fear. Whether you are hiding in the dark with your flashlight turned off or making a desperate sprint for the rescue helicopter, Fearwoods offers a deeply psychological and unpredictable horror experience.

3-Player Online Co-Op: Survive the night together. Share the light, communicate, and help each other. Trust is your currency, but panic is contagious.

Light & Noise Mechanics: Your flashlight is your lifeline, but shining it carelessly will draw unwanted attention. The demon senses fear and tracks your noise. Sometimes, turning off your light and standing completely still is your only chance to survive.

Deep Narrative & Exploration: This is not just about running away. You need to explore abandoned buildings and the chilling Peak Forest to uncover Aveline’s fate. Your choices will ultimately decide whether you save her soul or condemn it forever.

Dynamic Fear System: Fearwoods features a system that directly impacts gameplay. High fear levels will sharpen certain sounds and completely change how the monster behaves, making every match feel unique and chaotic.

Climactic Escapes: Once you gather all the necessary GPS fragments, the game shifts from stealth to an intense survival run. You will hear the rescue helicopter on the radio, and you must fight back and sprint to freedom before the darkness consumes you.
